Question: What do the Prime Minister of Great Britain, an internationally bestselling author, and the humble author of this blog have in common?
Answer: Believe it or not, at least two things, with the second being the most interesting:
- All are associated with the University of Edinburgh
(Brown for his undergrad and Ph.D. work; J.K.
Rowling received an honorary doctorate; the present author as a young, idealistic postgraduate student). - All have had at least one child born in the same
hospital, Edinburgh’s Royal Infirmary. As you can see from the picture to the right, Charlie was excited to hear he was in such laudable company.
There’s no real significance to these so-called factoids, other than I thought them interesting.
